Default Charlie, the most handsome Brittany in the world!

I've seen a lot Brittanys, and I live with four of them, but I must brag on the extreme good looks of my 3 year old Charlie. I guess you could say he's sort of a b***h magnet! And he's not only handsome, but he's a top bird dog as well. Bragging is a poor trait to develop, but I hope you folks will allow me this one slip over to the dark side. I was working on some images to be sent off to my agent today and I thought I'd share a few.

Great looking dog Jim. My father always had a Brittnay or 2 when I was growing up, nothing wrong with the darkside.

Ought to be an award winning photo..we should see it on the cover of Gun Dog magazine someday soon.

Your photos are great, Jim. What kind of camera do you use that could get you some magazine published pictures? I have a canon PowerShot SX30 IS with 14.1 Mega pixels. It is the present we bought for my retirement.
Not many years ago the standard was an SLR in 35 mm and a scadzillion lenses.

Woodsman, a camera and a Brit pup for your retirement? I hope our other halves share some of the same genes! Now, just a few more decades...

Mr. McCann, handsome fella in those photos and by the look on his face he might just know it too.

Thanks for the kind words, friends.

    Alaskan Woodsman,

These days I use a couple of Canon 7Ds with a variety of lenses. These particular shots were taken with a Canon 70-200 f2.8 IS MkII lens that is incredibly sharp. But I've published many images using my Canon G10 point-and-shoot camera. It's often the photographer, and not so much the camera.

Funny, the wife and I were just discussing pretty dogs. We are convinced that proud and confident males make the prettiest dogs. It seems that Charlie exemplifies our thoughts to a T.

    LuJon,

I agree and all my dogs are male. I find males easier to train and to be bolder hunters as well.
