Default A day on the Lower Columbia

Spent the day on the lower Columbia River in Washington. I am 67 miles from the mouth and the tide actually reverses the flow. Had a great day, got this nice king. The silvers are running and the steelheads are starting to show up.

The boat says Whittier. Are you bringing it up here, or did you bring it down there from AK? Is mile 67 up by Portland? Sorry for the dumb questions, but I would like to hear more...

No this is the boat I will be bring to Alaska in a year or so. Mile 67 (I think) is by Longview which is about 40 miles north of Portland. In someways (not many) fishing is better here as it is year round. There are 2 runs of kings, silvers. some reds and hug run of steel head all winter long. So if you don't mind the rain it can be pretty good.
