    Default My First Ruff Grouse

I accomplished bagging my first ruffed grouse today. Thanks to Alcanron for letting me take that first shot, he is a great friend. We went out together again today to an area he previously has had success with ruffies and BINGO.... I ended up with a decent poker hand....a pair of ruffies. Thanks Alcanron!

Nice job Jedi. We'll have to start callin you JediMasterGrouseSlayer. Looks like you've been doing a lot of small game hunting this year. You'll have to make one of those movies of you're grouse hunts.

Congratulations! Ruffed grouse are indeed a special bird. But then so are the rest of them.

I said "goodbye" to the sharptails yesterday as most of them have migrated to winter grounds.

    Good hunting.

I have some running around to do today but I am hoping to get my pup out for a few hours into an area where I have caught some ruffies in the past. Hopefully by this evening I too will be holding a pair in hand.

    JediMasterGrouseSlayer.
We do not go to the green woods and crystal waters to rough it, we go to smooth it. We get it rough enough at home; in towns and cities; in shops, offices, stores, banks anywhere that we may be placed
