    Default Fall Bears

Had a nice afternoon Bear Hunt yesterday, my hands are stained purple from dealing with the animal. There's no secret where I was from the Photo, just a beautiful fall Day!fallbear.jpg

Nice bear. Hope, no pun intended, you saved one as I'm heading down today.

Can I take a guess? Is it Charleston, SC? I think I caught an amberjack off that jetty once.

Fine bear apparently harvested/taken/shot/killed on a beautiful day. Did you use your own, or a buddies boat for transportation, or did you use a "transporter".
Funny how some pictures are better than others. Everything about your "hero shot" photo says great stuff about you, your black bear, and your hunt.
A high altitude spot-and-stalk black bear on berries successful kill.
While the bear had a bad day, can life get any greater for a hunter?

Fortunate enough to have my own boat (a necessity in Homer), able to pick days, saw several bears on the hill but had to be able to get out that evening, not the biggest animal but perfect for 2 guys to pack out. Left harbor around noon home by 10 pm. A friend had said he had seen a few bears while hiking the area, i had also been in area a few times on goat hunts so decided the night before to go check it out. This is why I live in AK can't do this type of thing anywhere!
