Default Recommended outfitter for November deer hunt

Looking to take my son deer hunting before he leaves the coop for the Air Force. Looking for a recommendation on a vessel type based hunt outfitter sometime between 1-24 November. Will take ferry or fly doesn't matter. Any help appreciated.

Nobody has one they could recommend? Maybe use in the past?

You might check with Kodiak Charters out of Larson Bay. They are not boat based but have a pretty good deal. Used them before and will again.

I'd take a look at Kodiak Combos. You can find a link to their website over on our saltwater fishing forum where they're a sponsor. They do day hunts on a nice vessel and then bring you back to the lodge every evening. From the stories and picture he posts here, it looks like a phenomenal hunt. You get to hunt on private Native Corp. land (less competition for big bucks), you get a warm bed each night, and you can troll for kings and catch halibut once you've got a few deer in the meat shed. If I were going to lay down the money necessary for a vessel-based hunt, I'd be calling Kodiak Combos first.

    Default Alaska Coastal Marine

I have hunted with Tim Cashman's group at Alaska Coastal Marine many times and have always been very happy. They run a great operation and treat you very well. Check out their web site at http://www.alaskacoastalmarine.com/b...deer_hunts.htm. They primarily hunt aroung Moser, Deadman's, Portage and Trinity Cape - lots of big deer to be had.

I am sure you and your son will have a great time.

My wife and I had a great trip with Jeff from Kodiak Combos, awesome housing and food.

Hey that's me with the black Stormy Kromer cap on their deer pics page. I'll be back down there this fall to hunt with them again, good food, good folks and awesome hunting last time, Deer Everywhere!!! Oh and they are pretty dang reasonable price wise too.
