    Default First Alaska Gamebird

Hiking back in from an unsuccessfull waterfowl hunt I managed to get my first spruce. I am glad to be back in a state with grouse. I grew up in Washington and have been away for 18yrs.

Looks cool, seems like a more economical method compared with standard taxidermy. Still shows off the style of the individual species. I might have to ask for a few skinning pointers. My budget can tolerate that more easily than body mounts.

just trying something out, a buddy of mine did this with a turkey and it came out awesome. After it dries I thought about putting it on a sheet of birch bark. If it turns out good I will post a pic, if it turns out crappy you wont hear about it.
