    Default Burbot Fishing

    Hey guys, im in North Pole and was wondering what you guys use for bait on your setlines? also were are some good locations? also one of my buddies caught a 41" burbot last night, anyone know how much it should have weighed? it was super fat, biggesty ive ever seen. oh ya and please dont be like " go buy herring" cus i want to be able to catch/harvest the bait.

    Go buy herring

    Then you can spend the catching/harvesting bait time fishing for burbot.....

    I'm going to have to agree with the above quote, but then again catching whitefish is pretty fun if you get into them good.

    Were can I catch whitefish? I know the chatanika is good, but anything closer?

    I'm not super familiar with that area but I know they have them up there, I'm sure any river of decent size will have them.

    42 inches....and it was a fatty. A poor photo, but not every guy is a good photographer especially at 4:30 pm in January in the interior.
