My 12 year old daughter wants to go caribou hunting for her birthday. This will be her first Big Game hunt.

Of course the priority is her safety and that she enjoys herself. I was thinking about taking her on the 40 Mile hunt in August. I can't afford to take her on a fly out. I've heard that Chicken ridge is an option.

I've never been there and am looking to talk to someone with personal experience....hopefully with kids. Is this hunt truely the "Shoot Out at Rush Hour?" Is it so busy that someone would likely spoil her hunt? What kind of trail conditions are typical? How far back can you ride? Too tough riding for a small framed girl? Would/could it be a positive experience for a kid?

I have a few more questions if someone wouldn't mind sending me a PM.

Thanks in advance.
