    Default Moose Down!

stayed close to home and saw somewhere around 25-30 moose in all. bulls bulls bulls and a few cows. lots of 2 brow tines most around 40-45 inches. they were coming in to my calling. one i could have punched in the nose but i was scared outta my mind. i was sitting down inside some bushes he came in full speed stopped lowered his head and we were eye to eye and my gun was behind me. he came in to fast, i wasnt expecting it. he could have stomped me easy. anyway finally a legal one, a double fork double legal one!!!... the rest is history...

I love seeing those local hunts that turn out, especially after repeated attempts. Good stuff, sir - thanks for sharing!

Too cool! It is a total thrill when you see the calls working for you. Care to share the area?

You sir are the man! Sounds like lots of excitement and glad to hear the one was only a close call. No question on the legality of the one you got and I am sure it will be a tasty one. I am heading out tonight and hope to have similar success. I would be happy to just see some sub-legal bulls to practice my calling.

What type of dually adapter are you using there and how do you like it?

Congrats Paul and thanks for your help. Your bulls twin brother (forked both sides) is in my freezer about .5 miles as the crow flies from your spot. I saw 2 bulls and 2 cows that day. Calling was not productive for us, but luck was.
