Amazing story, these fish. Cool to see the video capturing part of the tale.... and cool music too.
    Thanks!

Thanks guys for the kind words. The camera is a Pentax Optio Wg-1. What made this work so well is the 6 ft painter pole with a custom head that I made so I could shoot and not have my hands in the water.

I like the painters pole idea. I have the GoPro that I want to start playing with more. I will have to look into that.

Nice one, Andrew. Glad you got to use the painter's pole...I'm pretty sure hubby has decided to get one of those camera's after talking to you, too. Thanks for posting!

Nice!!! 25 sec into the video, I like how the salmon kick up some dirt and eggs into the current.

Awesome video!! The changes that a sockeye makes once entering fresh water is amazing!

missed this earlier. Great vid. I can stare at fish all day for some reason whether in water, aquarium, or on film. Look slike you had the hatch matched on the bead. Great quality video as well. Very nice! I have a 50 inch extension I've had all year that I haven't yet tried.

    Thanks Kard
It was fun to do and hope to play with more fish video. I wanted a GO PRO and may still get one someday but felt I was getting more of a camera with this little Pentax. As in more zoom on the lens for fish shots and having a back screen to view. This was my first time with video and putting 20 sec shots into 2 mins+video was fun. Crazy world I never even wanted to be a film maker and look what happens with all this tech we have.
