    Thumbs up DM790 success!

I donít post much but do a lot of reading, thanks for all the info; anyway here are a couple of picís from our Delta hunt. It was awesome called him in to 85 yards! He has a 58 IN spread. We had a party tag and my buddy got a 48 IN with 4 brow tines on both sides! His may be the most uniform rack I have ever seen beautiful animal! Thanks for looking.

Sorry for the lack of details, I shot the 58in with a 300 win mag Federal power shock 180 grain, not sure what my buddy uses. Hit him in the shoulder twice and once in the ribs, went down on shot one tried to get up twice so he got it two more times! I was raking with him for about 30 min the last five I heard an ATV gradually getting closer, all I could think was someone else is going to get him before I even see him! I did not see him until I crept through the bushes (about 50 yards of thick stuff) after I started hearing the ATV. When I saw him it was incredible how calm I was, I took my time and counted brow tines and ranged him (twice) then raked he blew a small bush up! Then I leaned out (showing the shed antler I was raking with) from behind the bush I was hiding behind and he really went nuts thrashing the bushes! It was surreal the feeling when I walked up to him and realized he was mine! Thatís when I started shaking! Funny what you do in those situations I dropped my range finder, scope cover and antler and picked up the brass! Once in a lifetime moose! When he was down the ATV showed up it was my hunting partner, he saw him from a mile and a half away and was not sure I saw him! He said ďdid you get himí! It was a good trip before this, icing on the cake! Great time and better company. I guess the old saying better lucky than good really applies! Thanks for stopping by, and you stay classy ODD! 

P.S. Here is the all important trophy shot!

I like this part ( When I saw him it was incredible how calm ), that's not what you told us, you said you were shaking like a little girl, waiting for my 1/2 of the moose for the use of the heater, good job Joe

    Joe,

Glad the Big Lake tip helped. Enjoyed helping y'all skin and quarter the moose at our camp. A helluva bull.
