    Default Silvers in Turnagain Arm

Hi just wondering if it's worth going down to Bird or Glacier one of these evenings this week. Hoping some silvers are still around. Any one been down there lately?

    Thanks!

Highly unlikely that there are silvers still in those creeks. Some of the guys have been fishing 20 mile further up the stream. To get into silvers your going to have to head down to the peninsula.

Wife and I managed to get into a couple of silvers in Bird Sunday evening. Nice and chrome fish, right off the tide. Sort of hit-and-miss this year given the weak coho runs. Give it a try, you never know.

A note on Glacier Creek: A brown bear sow with two young ones have camped out on the lower stream between the railroad bridge and the landfill area. Careful stepping through the brush up there; walked into them last weekend as they lay sleeping in tall grass right next to the river. Could have been ugly.

    Good luck!

Thanks both of you. Might give it a shot after work later this week and save the peninsula trip for the weekend.
