    Default Chignik Lake area fishing

I'm fortunate to have a job in this economical climate. I'm fortunate to have one that takes me to places like Pedro Bay, Aniak, and next week Chignik Lake on the AK peninsula and I am able to fish after the work day and extend my stay for recreation if I choose to. This is my first trip to the peninsula and my contact there has informed me that silvers running pretty thick now. I'm growing weary of salmon fishing for the year and am amped to target bows, dollys and steelhead. Is there opportunity for this in the Chignik Lake area without boat access?

word on the street is its pretty tough even with a boat, steelhead fishing is almost non existent the run is less than 100 and the river is huge
I choose to fly fish, not because its easy, but because its hard.

I caught a silver on every cast....nice fresh chromers! No trout or char. Only had 3 hours to fish after work and before dark.
