    Default Russian River Campground

Every year this is asked and every year I forget... The Russian River Campground is open correct? First come first served type thing? The same as most of the other fed and state campgrounds?

Still open. Was there Saturday for an overnight at Aspen Flats cabin. Guy in the booth said Labor Day is the last day they staff the entrance booth but several of them would be there until this weekend doing maintenance. After that it is self-service camping... I believe until they get snow on the roads.

Park service admins fees for camping from Memorial day weekend through Labor day weekend... historicaly. Then is it come and go as you wish.

They are still there charging now. You're not alone. I think the 15th is the day this year. They must have figured out they will make more money from staying open for the bow fisherman.

Thanks guys. Don't mind paying just wanted to make sure I didn't try to meet my friends at a closed campground.

It was pretty high when I left yesterday on the upper. A few were doing the middle not sure what that looked like.
