    Default Optimal Moose Hunting Weather

Leaving this Friday for my hunt and was looking at the temps around Galena. Going to get a little cooler next week (50s for high's). Was wondering if this small dip in temps would help a lot or does it need to be in the 40s for optimal weather? Just having fun till I go (passing some time). thanks folks.

I think the night time temps are where it's at. Early in season they are on the move at night mostly and as the difference between the days high and low begins to even out things get better. Just my opinion.

You'll be okay. How long is your trip?

My take is that colder temps really amp up the rut. More aggressive calling response from mature bulls looking to stand their turf and band more cows.
