Is that the place really close by The Ulu Factory, nearby Ship Creek and the Alaska Railroad station? 'cause that's the place I was going to recommend.

Costco has 40 or 50lb bags near the laundry detergent. I use it for water treatment.

Just curious... is that rock salt, and is it non-iodized? Salt for hides should be fine, non-iodized mixing salt.

I buy 50-lb bags of fine grain Morton Kiln Dried Feed Mixing Salt at Alaska Mill and Feed. I use it all the time in my taxidermy business. Stay away from any "coarse" salt, as it will not dissolve/penetrate properly. Costs about $12/bag.
