    Default Barren Raspberries ????

We have a TON of Rasbberry plants on our property on the Kenai
But NO flowers, it's been that way for the 5 years we've had the place
Are there such a thing as barren raspberry plants that only spread through the roots?
If we hit them with some high bloom building fertilizer this fall or next spring would that jolt them into production?

I'm wondering if perhaps you introduced some plants from somewhere else if that would make a difference...
I've never seen that problem before... I dug up and gave away 1/3 of our raspberries because we just had more than we needed, or could handle...

Do you every prune them or remove the old cane?

No they are just growing wild
Actually unlike my raspberries at home the canes seem to just disappear
I'll have to take a closer look, maybe they are something else, but they look EXACTLY like raspberries (including the thorns)

I have a yard full of salmonberry bushes here on Kodiak, same deal. we will get about 20 berries in the yard..my kids find them as soon as they change color. I would expect a good haul of berries from the ammount of bushes I have here, but we could not have filled a coffee cup with this years crop.
