Default New to duck hunting in Alaska.

I got to Alaska last January and missed out on the 2010 Duck season. Have had a chance to really scout yet. I dont have a boat but I do have a four wheeler. Any tips on places that I would be able to scout? Thanks.

Look back, scroll down or search for other newbie ideas and places, lots listed on here. I think cottonwood crees is accesable by ATV, take a look at that on the hayflats off of Fairview Loop Rd. Bud

Two days before opening day is not a good way to start off the season.

All the info you need can be "scouted" right on here. Use the search function for "hay flats" and then look up the Palmer Hayflats State Game Refuge on the ADF&G website. Then check out the maps on the Friends of Palmer Hayflats website.

Of course if you do not know your way around on the road system by now, no amount of internet scouting is going to help you.
