NOTICE OF ADOPTION OF EMERGENCY REGULATIONS
OF ALASKA BOARD OF GAME
On August 17, 2011, the Commissioner of the Alaska Department of Fish and Game, under a delegation of authority from the Board of Game issued under Alaska Statute 16.05.270, adopted as emergency regulations changes in Title 5 of the Alaska Administrative Code dealing with hunting seasons and bag limits for dark geese:
5 AAC 85.065(a)(4)(E) is changed to remove specified daily bag restrictions under the dark geese limits for Canada geese in the following Units: In Units 9E and 18 the limits are increased from 2 daily, 4 in possession to 6 daily, 12 in possession; in Units 9A, 9B, 9C, and 17 the limits are increased from 4 daily, 8 in possession to 6 daily, 12 in possession. The combined dark geese limit (6 daily, 12 in possession) for Canada and white-fronted geese is unchanged.
The emergency regulations take effect August 31, 2011 and will expire December 28, 2011. The Alaska Department of Fish and Game intends to make the emergency regulations permanent.
