Thread: I am not catching fish, who can I blame?

  1. #1

Default I am not catching fish, who can I blame?

I'm not catching many fish within two hours of ANC. So, whose fault is it? I have lots of experience catching smallmouth, etc. in other states and I hear there used to be tons of fish in every stream in Alaska before it was all ruined.

    Whose fault is it guys?

What! You have the Tea party but no Obama? That's discriminatory!
I say it's Obama (who would blame Bush of course).

I think what's more important is not specifically who you blame, but that you place all blame on one specific entity

Default It is Bush's fault of course!

It is obviously Bush's fault! Everything is Bush's fault. Why wasn't that a choice - what are you anyway - a Republican or something?

Unless of course it was the Tea Party or gridlock from those nasty uncompromising Red State guys.

Even the earthquake the other day was from the Bush Fault line.

Let's kick in a few trillion dollars on a salmon stimulus paln and see that works. If it doesn't - we'll borrow and throw even more money at the problem.

    Default Poll

Need more options on the poll--like "myself"! No excuse for not catching salmon--this year or actually any of the 40 plus years I have lived in Alaska. I think that some on this thread want them handed out on a silver platter! There are no guarantees--especially for those who don't try very hard, or just don't have a clue. After all, the sport is called "fishing", not "catching".

Due to the "paln" typo, I initially misread "salmon stimulus plan" as "salmon stimulus pain". Then after a moment, I realized there's really no difference!

I read it as "salmon stimulus palin" & thought maybe the salmon might become eligible for PFDs.

Disclaimer: I'm referring to my former neighbor before she and daughter bought mansions in Scottsdale, and not making a political statement of any kind here.

P.S. Boy oh boy, those comm fishermen sure are "taking it" in the poll. I guess this thread should have been posted in the dipnetting forum, so they could find it more easily and better defend themselves.

I'm pretty sure this is a La Nina year - therefore I'm not going to blame El Nino. SW-Fairbanks failed its policy of hiring attractive single girls to work behind the cash register and replaced them with married 30-somethings (which brings up an entirely different discussion as to why married 30-somethings would want to work in a place frequented by every young single man in town, but I digress). I had a nice discussion with an ADFG goat biologist last week so they're on my good side, and comm fishermen make good wintertime tv on Discovery. So I blame Sportsmans Warehouse and the tea party - and the progressives. Go Libertarian - and Frontier Outfitters.
