    Default Scope Question

Hi I am new to this site and would like to say hello. My question is will a Bushnell DOA 250 Scope work on a 300 win mag.

Bluwulff, welcome to the forum, it is a great source of info and entertainment. The Bushnell DOA 250 is designed for a muzzleloader, the DOA 600 is made for a centerfire rifle. I suppose if you already have the 250 it would work as a scope, but the lines for different ranges wouldn't be correct for the 300wm. I don't have one so maybe someone who has first hand experience will chime in.

For .300 win mag, I wouldn't buy the DOA reticle. That's mostly my preference (I prefer mil-dots and for .300, they work out very nice). For my Thompson Center .300 Win, I have the Bushnell 6-18x50mm Banner and I love it. I'm kind of a brand loyalist, once I find something I like, but Bushnell does impress me for their price. Rolled a four wheeler with my gun on the rack. Shot a moose with it two days later and it hit dead on. Best quality for a "B brand" scope IMO.
