I'm at the very beginning of planning a trip over to Kodiak probably in October 2012 for deer. We'll fly out to one of the remote refuge cabins for 5 days or so.

I've read the descriptions of the cabins and some list duck hunting as "fair". If you've hunted out of these, do you feel it's worth the trouble of taking my 2 labradors along? It would be fun to have the dogs along and they won't interfere with the deer hunting, but is it worth taking extra gear for some serious duck hunting? The dogs might appreciate being able to extend their duck hunting season compared to South Central.

PM's appreciated.
