Default Where to fish on Alexander Lake this time of year??

My brother/and/or wife are planning on chasing some toothy fish on Alexander this weekend and are looking for some suggestions on areas of the lake to target. I am thinking of areas with diverse weed beds or shallow shelfs or other areas that make for good ambush areas for pike. Any information will be greatly appreciated!

Fish the edges of the weed beds.
Weedless lures are good to drag thru the lilly pads.
    Have fun.
Like Pike plc said, pike everywhere (well almost)

Cool, duly noted on hitting the weeds and lilly pads. We will do our best to harass and/or otherwise torment as many pike as possible!!!! I see pickled pike in my future...

I will report back on our results. Thanks for the comments!

Well I thought I would check back and let people know how the trip went.

We caught lots and lots of pike, and, like you all decribed, they were almost everywhere! We caught pike on spoons, topwater plugs, soft plastics, and even nailed a few with the 8wt flyrod, which I highly recommend trying!! The fly-in service (Trail Ridge) was first rate and overall we had a great time. We kept enough pike to stink the skillet several times, boy are those guys tasty!

Are you sure they eradicated the lake? I thought they were just doing the sloughs along the creek. I could be wrong, but thats what I remembered hearing.....

Just the creek so far. 4,000 or so according to Dave Rutz.

There used to be so many in the sloughs in the first 10 miles form the mouth of the Su. I havent fished there this year, but the last couple years it was absurd how many were crammed in such a little area. I honestly dont think it will do anything if they don't get the lake. The pike up there will just migrate down the creek anyways after time.
