    Default Sage guide spacing

I'm building a Z-Axis 9' 3wt. Problem I ran into is when you look at the spacing chart on Sage's website, guide #5 is supposed to be at 28". When you measure for this guide, 28" falls right on the joint between the tip section and the next section of the rod. Anyone know if the spacing chart is off and there is a different one out there? I did some googling but couldn't find anything but the 28" reference.

Here is a spacing guide that may help you.

    Tight lines.
Only those that can see the invisible can do the impossible.

Give 3-Rivers a call or call Mt.View sports and ask Eric. Built my sage rod @ Mt.View.

Are you measuring from the tip of the blank with or without the tip-top on? It will make a large enough difference on guide placement. That guide should just be up from the joint on the tip section when measuring with the tip-top on....
