Its just overkill for fishing Alaska dont you think?

I saw a fishing show last year off the south island of New Zealand where the guys were using the Hannah on 200-300lbs bluefin tuna.
It was cool to see the fish and all but the guys were saying it didnt feel like much of a challenge.

"The Hannah kind of does it all for us..."
    or
"Never thought I could land a 248lbs blue fin tuna is 7 mins..."

Another problem is that a lot of us who fish on the rivers are either married or have girlfriends.
The rod is obviously designed to be a chick magnet.
I had girls checking me out when I just picked one up just to look at in sportsmans warehouse! Can you imagine how they'd be all over me if I was flossing with one of these bad boys on the kenai?
I guess you can be a bit more discreet if you are on your own boat but for shorebound anglers like myself its not worth the hassle from the woman.

    Too powerful and too sexy.

The Hannah is its own worst enemy.

My 8 year old daughter landed a 20" rainbow two weekends ago in the middle Kenai. So YES.

we used to have mickey mouse rod king tournaments on the tal, largest caught was 48 pounds
I choose to fly fish, not because its easy, but because its hard.

Saw a Coho Barbie tourney on the Yentna this summer. First boat to limit won and biggest & littlest fish won. All done on Barbie setups!
