Default Any body else shoot moose with no fat stores this season?

My moose had almost zero fat. Only a little around the stomach. Anybody else harvest really lean animals this fall? Or in the past? Meat tastes good. The second batch of steaks were a mite dry... but had good flavor.

Harvested her on Chena Hot Springs Road. Had a draw tag to help reduce numbers due to over population. Flavor is good, steaks are dry. Guess will be cooking wet and slow. Got all cut up and in freezer now.
