Default Interior Lake Trout Fall Habits

Planning a trip to Summit, Fielding, Paxson, Tangles 2nd week of September. Have heard the lakers start congregating in certain sections to spawn around that time and can be some good fishing......Anybody want to fill in any blanks for me?

Look for shallow rocky sections in both paxson and summit. They will be up shallow spawning. I used to live in paxson and you can literally catch a fish on every cast if you are in the right spot. Mr twister sassy shad in chartreuse/green or blue and silver have worked well in the past. Good luck.

Here is what you might find in summit if you look hard enough-

Yeah you should be able to hit them in mid september. Summit is a lot clearer than paxson and it is easy to see the fish. You will have to fish paxson in order to see if there are any fish in the spot, the water is pretty dark.
