    TeXXan,
Midnight Sun Flyfishers has monthly meetings and are a very active group of flyfishers. You might also check out the fly shop in Fairbanks. Can't remember the name right now but they can get you all the info you need.

    Hope that helps,
    George

the only rainbows in the interior are stocked. The closest rainbow fishing would be the gulkana river. There are a ton of grayling though, and grayling rule.
I choose to fly fish, not because its easy, but because its hard.

    Default Fairbanks Fly Fishing

Alaska Fly Shop 907-456-3010. Owner is Howie great guy problem forgot more about fly fishing then mostof us know. Shann Paul Jones, and Tom Norton Mid Night Sun Fly Casters. Great organization with a gig on the 24th of March if you call Howie he could tell you more about the festive operations on the 24th. I have a link to MNSFC on my web site www.bluemooserafting.com

P.M. is correct there is no fishing for Rainbow Trout in the rivers around North Pole, Fairbanks or any other location concerning Streams around here. There are Brood Stock Planting once in a while on the Pile Driver and Soldiers Slough on Eielson AFB.

You have the Parks Systems or the Upper Gulkana with limited fishing in some lakes to include but not limited to:

Grayling Lake, Trout Lake, and Chena Lakes.

You will find Dolly fishing on certain tribs of the Nenana River such as the wind. They run less than 10-12 inches on average and the fishing is best directly after break up.
