    Default Dcua 2011

Just finished my DCUA hunt. Weather was terrible; blowing snow, fog and rain. I was only able to hunt one day out of a 7 day hunt. Saw three other hunters along with lots of sheep, caribou and moose. Although I was still lucky enough to score on my first sheep.

Way to go sticking it out in the bad weather. Looking forward to more pics and some narrative.

Good job, and congrats, but where's all that bad weather?

I was able to hunt one day out of a six day hunt. First day was clear going in, second day was high clouds with some light rain, by mid-day rain and snow. Spent day three and four in the tent due to rain, fog and snow. Got about six to eight inches of snow. Day five was the only day I was able to hunt and was very lucky to get my ram. Day six walked out in the rain and fog.

Good on ya AK/975. Congrats on your first Ram, I remember that feeling like it happened yesterday. A dream come true.

Fantastic! I was looking north into DCUA from near Paxson this weekend and thinking that it must be a rough year for the early-season DCUA hunters. That snow was well over halfway down those mountains. Great job in making it happen despite some tough conditions!

Congrats on making it happen inspite of the weather. Just got back from 8 day caribou/sheep hunt. Spent 7 days in the rain/snow/and fog myself so I feel your pain, but only have a caribou no sheep to show for it. Way to go!!!
