    Default Moose Mount

I finally got around to mounting my 62" moose I got on my float hunt last year. My son and I found a neat way (IMO) to hang your mount. We got them from www.skullhooker.com.

The skull looks good. How was it done? Who was it done by? Was it painted? The mounting bracket shows it off nicely.

Thanks. I did the skull. After removing as much meat as possible I boiled the skull in a cut-off drum to loosen anything remaining then used a small, thin blade to remove the rest. I let it dry for a couple of weeks then painted it.

I bought one of the skullhookers but was disapointed in it. It seemed very flimsy and didn't grab the skull very well. Yours looks very good, what did you use for paint?

We were pleased with the skullhookers and ours grabbed quite well. I called skullhooker and they provided me (at no cost) a heavier duty bracket which I thought grabbed better. I used 2-3 coats of spray Kilz.

Looks Great, Don't we all wish we would have thought of Marketing such a product. I think it's a neat bracket system they came up with.

Thanks, if you haven't checked out the float hunt look at my son's rack, it has much more character.
