    Default 1950 170A in Craigslist....

    Anyone have any insight on the 1950 170A that's in craigslist? Nice looking plane, but seems to have just had a lot of work on it.

    1950 Cessna 170A, N1262D, Ser No. 19816. TTAF 4020 hrs. Continental O-300 D, 162.23 hrs SMOH (Superior Millennium, Signature Engines); Sensenich 74DC-0-56 Cruse Prop (95hrs) and currently equiped with a McCauley 1A 175/SFC 8040 Climb prop (52hrs). Fuselage and wings are white with red and maroon trim, paint condition 8 out of 10. Interior is a 9 out of 10. Complete logs, records and receipts. No corrosion. No float history. Significant upgrades: Completely rebuilt wings (Williams Airmotive), wings and ailerons with all new skins, cables and wiring; one piece windshield; Cleveland brakes; solid axles; new Scott tail wheel and 26x10.5x6.00 Goodyear Tundra Tires; P. Ponk main gear attachment mod; new Wheelen combination strobe/nav lights on wing tips and tail; all new engine gauges and clock; new EEI FP-5L fuel flow instrument; new GEM 6 cylinder, Graphic Engine Analyzer; new PSE PM1000 intercom; new Skytron Alternator; new Slick magnetos, plugs and harness; new Sky Tec light weight, hi torque starter; complete rewiring of aircraft including installation of expanded circuit breaker panel; recent battery; and Airtex carpet package.
    Other equipment: Collins VHF-251 Comm and Collins VHF-351 Nav with glideslope receiver and CDI; Narco TS 1250 Transponder with altitude encoder (Mode C); overhauled and certified primary flight instruments including gyros, altimeter, and airspeed.

    The last FAA registration or re-cert action was entered 30 days ago, here in Alaska. Before that it was registered in Montana in 2007.
    No record in the NTSB accident data base. Which is always a good thing.
    Mine also always seems to just have had a bunch or work done to it. They are like boats, you just keep throwing money at them until one of you dies first.
