    Default any birders?

If any of you have bird photos show em. We just saw a bird last night we'd never seen before. A Northern Shrike. We have a few bird pics but we just have a point and shoot camera, so show me something.

I love em. Nice pics Monkey. I went to your site. Harlequins are cool. I have a lot of pics of the females way up in mountain rivers--the females are very drab though. I haven't got any shrikes yet but want to. You need my lense, Alasken. Heh I took the following four in one beautiful day:

I took this with a cheap lens but it means a lot to me.....
I love to watch/photo/hunt these Spruce/Fool Hens. This one captures the idea
with some poor image quality. Thx for looking

    Lightbulb Here you go!

Here is a Northern Hawk Owl from 2 weekends ago.

And an Eagle coming in for a chance at dinner!

And lastly a juvenile Ruby Throat Hummingbird that had just been fed by an adult.

I will try and post some more as I get time.

He was taken about 10 miles north of Homer. I have driven around a few times now looking for Owls locally, but each trip has been a bust!

    Default owl

These two were pulled as frames from video I took so the quality isn't as good as with a camera, but the video I took was at less than 20 feet.

The owl was near Copper Center. Sometime in the next few days I'll put the clips of the owl on youtube and post a link.

    Default Heck no

I wont laugh! That is a good shot. All the technicals are good. The lighting, detail, sharpness are great and the composition is not bad. His environment in this shot is not the best, but a good shot to help you learn!
