    Default Kicker Trouble

My 8hp Yamaha high trust kicker decided to trim down in my drive. It continues to try to trim unless I cut the main power to the boat. It will not trim back up, but the motor stops while you hold it. release it and it keeps trying to grind itself into the boat. Any ideas? I guess better here in the drive than out on the water.

Thanks a bunch. I'm thinking about dropping the kicker all together. I'm running twin 140's and I really don't see the need for the kicker.

Theres always a need for a kicker. Can't have too many safety precautions on the water.

unless you can run your big motors from the deck, it's nice to have the kicker for trolling and for slowing a drift while mooching or jigging.
