How are average Alaskans supposed to respect the rules when they are written by criminals?

AMAZING This thug was also on the NPFMC for several years. Bad enough they control that board and litterally write the laws that hoard the resource for the commercial guys, then they have to go out and cheat and poach. Kind of like the fox watching over the henhouse isn't it?? A prime example of why this paradigm needs to drastically change if sport fishing (including charter fishing) is to survive this onslaught.
Politicians need to be put on notice that this cozy relationship between them and commercial interests is nothing more than legalized bribery. They accept hefty political contributions from the commercial industry and continue to appoint commercial interests to the boards that write and pass the regulations. This newly proposed catch share plan is the beginning of the end of tourism for Homer. How many people will pay > $200 to go out and catch one halibut UNDER 37 inches?? That's the bottom line that we will be facing under all the BS in that proposal. Better go out and buy your own boat to halibut fish because there won't be any charter fishermen left in business if this piece of **** written by commercial interests passes. Write your letters of opposition to the Secretary of Commerce and let them know that were on to them and to borrow the phrase from the movie " We're mad as hell and we're not going to take it any more !! "

Lawbreakers are undisposed to race, creed, color, or profession; they are simply lawbreakers who ultimately get what they deserve...
