    Default Salcha River Moose Hunt

I was just wondering how crowded the Salcha gets during moose season and also I was wandering about how far could you probably get in a 16ft jet boat.

I guess it would depend on what you consider "crowded".
It does receive a lot of pressure. You won't be able to get as far as a boat with a big fan on the stern.

In a bizarre twist of irony, you may have the entire river to yourself now that those who may have been thinking of going there have now seen the name of their moose huning river on the busiest Alaska hunting forum, where novices lurk and wait for someone to mention the name of a river or lake so they have a place to go...

But then again, it could just be crowded for some strange reason.

    Good luck,

    Taylor

How dare you mention the super secret Salcha River!

It'll probably be crowded because its easy access, close to populated areas, nice boat launch, and because its moose season....not because you just mentioned a popular river on a internet site so I'd disregard what Marc stated above...the Salcha is no secret.
