Default Last sheep hunt for old man

Hey My dad is 59 years old and he wants to go on one more sheep hunt before he gets too old. He has got his mind on doing a brooks range hunt because he hears that they can be some of the more easier going. I would like to know some good outfits to fly out from and or any suggestions on whether you can raft or airboat from the haul road.

Are you planning on a hunt for next year or is this a last minute 2011 hunt? This could determine the answers you get back.

Hopefully you are getting some PM's. However, comma, it will be really hard to find an opening for a flight this late in the game. Maybe shoot for next year and then you will have time to plan everything and book a charter.
    Good luck!

59 isn't an old man. The shape you are in determines if you are an old man. I am doing a walk in sheep hunt this year and I just turned 60 this spring. There are many out there that are not "sheep shape" at any age.

    Default Alternative To Flying

    I agree with Daveinthebush - 59 isn't that old.

A long time ago (1999 to be exact) we did a float hunt for moose on the John river. There was 1 resident on the float and he blew a stalk on a Dall not really all that far off the river. I know there was a big dieoff next winter but maybe that has been overcome with time. I really don't have any specivic information but maybe Sourdough Outfitters in Bettles might be of some help. It wouldn't hurt to call.
