    Default any thoughts.....

    .....on extending the dipping season by EO. Seems like with all the fish still rolling into the Kenai river it would make sense to let everyone keep fishing. The escapement is going to be well above what is needed to maintain the fishery. Why not let everyone keep benefiting from the "bumper crop". I plan on going down for a day on the Kenai as I spend my time normally on the Kasilof dipping. Just something I thought about as I was looking at the Kenai's numbers.

    It's been done before and it could happen again. I'd pay attention to the EOs coming out Friday afternoon.

    Well one question to ask before getting too excited is what species the OTF is picking up now? The website doesn't specify. It could very well be that second wave of fish could be silvers not reds. If that's the case then a good bulk of those fish are headed to Matsu not Kenai. *fingers crossed*. Timing would be about right, one week behind schedule.
