    Default Non-Resident Dipnetting

I think if there are too many fish this year they should let us non-resident go dipnetting.

Dipnetting is both hard work and dangerous, at least two have died this season alone. Dipnetting allows Alaskans to gather Salmon in a relatively short time, so they can move on to the other task that must be done before our harsh winters arrive, berry picking, firewood cutting, canning ect.....

Come up, bring your rod, catch a few limits and head back to Sunny hometown USA. Think of us cold, snow bound residents when you enjoy some BBQ salmon on your sunny deck.

You got that right bro! although Ray does have a point, if they're going to let residents proxy fish and ship PU fish anywhere they want then we may as well let non-residents dip, at least they're spending money here. I got it, the residents can have the weekends and the nons can have the week days and the gillnetters can fish 24/7. Lets get the legislation underway!

    You forgot restoring the Mustang.
lol...Yeah, and I should need a guide now too to hunt sheep and goats, since I moved away to the lower 48.
'365 day +' Alaskans are far safer and more capable than the rest of us. :/

Seriously though, fortunately wife and I have many friends and work acquaintances that keep us in Alaska reds and 'butt too.

Obviously I'm kidding, Steve; but hopefully my point isn't lost on ya...

Ray, head into Chitina and get down to the Haley creek, plenty of reds to catch right there if they are loaded in the eddy pool.
btw..I caught five species one afternoon on an egg-sucking leech.

You can go down to the store and get a whole bunch in 10 minutes for considerably less money and labor. Just go that route.

The reason for the 5-foot net is so that it won't fit in non-rez luggage.

Sounds like you are just too lazy to rod and reel em.
Nope we can never let the non res dipnet.
It would become another entitlement that we would be hard pressed to rescind on the lean years.

Just because California is dumb enough to let the illegals have so many freebies they don't deserve doesn't mean the rest of the country is so idiotic!!

If wanting to get them fast with little work is lazy then what do you call everyone else down there dipnetting them?
