    Default Question about droppers

I'm in the interior and the regulations on many/most of the rivers and sloughs say that only single-hook artificial lures are allowed. Does that mean that droppers aren't okay, or does that mean one hook per lure?

Single hook only means a single hook on your line. You'd have to cut the hook off above the bend on one of the flies in a dropper setup. That would work if you're only using a dry as a strike indicator to a nymph below; unless it were fly only waters then the defanged dry COULD be considered an attractor by a LEO.

if the reg reads "one single hook artificial lure only" droppers are not allowed, if it reads "single hook artificial lures only" one dropper is legal (two hooks total).
I choose to fly fish, not because its easy, but because its hard.
