    Default Denali Highway in September

I'll be moose hunting this area in mid september. Are there any ducks in the area? Would it be worthwhile to bring my shotgun too?
What about ptarmigin and other birds?

Lots of ruby head ptars in the area you might even get a chance to shoot a rock ptar (rare) there plumage is awesome that time of year. The duck hunting is usually not bad in september, but gets better towards the end of sept.- early oct.

Birds are starting to gather, but no big groups last weekend on the Paxson side. Fairbanks had some cranes, canada and specks gathering at Creamers over a week ago. They are starting to get ready, are you?
