Bright gaudy pink flies get all the press, but don't overlook some #2 beadhead olive woolly buggers. I have had times when the fish had lockjaw (think bluebird days in mid day) and if I had not had some darker patterns, I would have had a hard time hooking up.

Stuff like this works pretty good. I have been tying a bunch with pink heads, just eyes, cone heads, chartruese heads, etc. Pretty much get it in front of them and they like to hit it. Look for soft water/eddys for holding Cohos.

I have had most of my luck on these three flies.

I have also done well on black/tan and olive/tan dolly lamma's.
I use a 7wt floating line and fish slack water areas on the Middle Kenai mostly.
