Is there anywhere around Fairbanks that I could go and find a little color besides the normal spots? I have tried Pedro Dome and had some fun but they wont let me use my sluice box there anymore and I don't want to tick anyone off. I'm not out looking to get rich, just find some gold. Mainly my girlfriend and I want to find enough gold that we could make our wedding bands out of it. I know... mushy mushy, but it also fun to run the sluice and see what you get. Been out to Nome creek and wasn't too impressed, but I also didn't spend a whole lot of time either.

Out towards Chatanika there is a nice pull off with the creek right there. We occasionally find a little color with the pans.

    Default both places

Ive been to both those places. I used to go out to Pedro Dome all the time till they made sluiceboxes against the rules. Anybody have into on Bachlor Creek out the Steese? I might try it out there this summer.

This group out by Central has some awesome claims if you can get in touch with them. They still have some virgin ground.

I've seen this group but have never taken the time to stop and visit. It might be worth while.

There are also the GPAA claims at Deadwood Creek if you want to join up....
