    Default Tanana River to Manley

Has anyone floated the Tanana from Nenana to Manley Slough? I am looking for information on how long it took, the river conditions(dangers), necessary gear, and recomendations from the river rats here.

    Thanks.

HELLO AND WELCOME.never floated it,but ran it with a boat quit a few times, right around 100 miles.take out at manley lanch road comes out to the tanana river maybe 1.5 miles into town,,2miles above manley slough,,long paddle up the slough if you miss it 3 miles maybe no current, lower water some years at the mouth of the slough,,not enough to run a boat ,,

I agree don't float past the road buy the time you get there you won't want to paddle up the slough.

Last question: Does anyone know how fast the Tanana flows between Nenana and Manley(average)? I was planning to take 4 days from 4-Mile Road to Manley Slough on a raft(with a fifth day if I have to).
