Default Cabinets & Coat Racks - what do ya got? Wanna see 'em!

Alright, not super important stuff- but I'm curious. Probably alot of folks out getting their summer on & I'm stuck in town.

But, with the cabin being up now- moving on to new projects up there. So, one day I'd really like to have some kitchen cabinets or shelves or something. What do you have? Did you build them? Salvage them? Is it possible to keep the mice out?

And what do you do with your coats? We have TONS of coats (5 kids)- so lightweight stuff, warmer stuff, raingear. I'm hoping to have an entry or mudroom SOMEDAY. Right now, it's big fatty nails all over the walls for holding coats, waders...

Have you ever done business at the RESTORE in Anchorage??? Amazing deals to be had on pretty much everything home building related items. I got a great porcelain sink and base counter for $20...in perfect shape. Brought it home, added concrete board, tiled and have an amazing sink and counter. They even have the tile, grout and sometimes the mud.

Look them over for salvaged cabinets.

Here's the old and ugly stuff that was in the space prior to my arriving.

I paid $20.00 for a new sink and counter base...and $20.00 for a new cabinet, from the RE-Store in Anchorage.
Couldn't post pics so will add to another follow-up post.

If you can recycle, reuse, or repurpose things...why not??? As long as you get your end result.

Total of $40.00 for cabinet base, sink, and counter underlayment....and a HECK of a lot nicer!!!
Check them out! They are located on Cordova just off of Tudor. Great folks to work with!

Almost forgot....got the listello trim pieces for a total of $2.00...(for THREE strips)...which was just enough to complete the backsplash! You just never know what you'll find there.
