    Default 1st time for kids in Alaska

    Hi there;

    My kids are coming to Alaska to visit for the first time. I have two boys ages 14 and 10. They have alot of experience fishing as do I, however, I am new to the state as well. I would appreciate any recommendations that any of you might have that would help them have a great first time fishing experience in Alaska. We live in the Mat-Su area.
    Thanks.

    Finger Lake comes to mind, Bradley Kempler, Nancy Lake as well. Not sure but, I think they use to rent canoe's.
    Good variety of fish in that lake. Salmon, Willow, Deshka, Little Su, Jim's, Montana...
    Check your regs as there is always a lot to watch for. Little camping/fishing... always seems to stick with a kid.
    Might just be me

    You have a lot of options in the Valley. You cannot miss on the Parks Hwy streams whether it is salmon or trout. The lakes are awesome as well. It all depends on the time of year your kids are going to be here and what do you want Lakes or Streams.
