    I guess catching a salmon wasn't high on the BIL's list when he scheduled his trip or he would have timed it better to catch a run. If he lives here, just wait for the reds to hit the Kenai or go to Hope in 2 weeks & catch pinks.
    Might still try for kings in Talkeetna or the Gulkana.

    Any thoughts on the best place to catch some salmon from the bank this weekend? We're planning on going out either tomorrow or Saturday. Looking to stay within a 2.5 hour drive from Anchorage. It seems pretty slow all around but perhaps the middle-upper Kenai would be best?
