Default Salmon and halibut better in Ketchikan or Juneau?

HiI am visiting ketchikan and Juneau with family these next few days and trying to decide whether I should fish for salmon and halibut in K or J? I am actually in K now and leave for J on Sunday. Any ideas as to where I should focus my one and only available fishing day and charters that are highly recommended? Many thanks.

I'd say Ketchikan for salmon. halibut it won't matter either place. All of SE is one halibut 37" or less for guided fisherman. That's not a tough accomplishment in any venue.
I'd agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong.

Like AKBoater said, K-Town for Salmon, either place for Butts. Good Luck and have fun.

Thanks a bunch guys. Am in Ketchikan for only today so rushing to get a half day charter somewhere. Have contacted Ryan and waiting for his return call.

If I don't make it in K, should i still bother to try for both in Juneau? After all I am in Alaska and I gotta get salmon under my belt.
