Default Does the Garmin Bluechart G2 have decent batho. lines?

looking at getting the Garmind Bluechart G2. From the pictures online it looks like it might have decent bathymetry, but the images show up so small on my computer. Another thing is I cannot find any pictures of what the G2 looks like in Alaska.
    any help would great.
    thanks

They are not so accurate. IT is like they are using pre 64 maps or trying to connect contour lines that are not there. I have the G2 Blue chart chip for SC Alaska. I was hoping for better from Garmin.

i think you confirmed my fears. I charter fished out of seward for years. We had an older furuno Plotter and its batho line were great.
    anything better from Lowrance? Raymarine?

I think I have the same thing you are talking about. I think it is called the G2 vision card now. I have them and they are detailed, but the accuracy varies a bit by location when truthing it with my sonar. That being said, I have not seen anything better. If you have a specific location you want to see, let me know and I can get a screen shot and post it. I think I did this once in the past here but am too lazy to find it again. The other advantage of the Garmin detailed charts is you can use a copy on your computer with their HomePort software.

Jrogers the Vision is more detailed and offers 3D imaging if i remember correctly. Accuracy isn't to important becuase as you say I can get close and find it on my sonar. I would like the option of having a pretty good idea of what im after first.

A screen shot would be awesome. Not to specific on the area but maybe one that just shows what it has to offer.

Bummer most companies don't allow returns for these chips.

Here is an example of a location with both standard Garmin navigation charts and the fishing charts:
