Default My take on the iditarod

Ok, Elf, I finally got a break to work on posting a few of my iditarod shots. These were taken along the first leg at various places sunday late afternoon. We took snowmobiles and met the mushers about halfway to Skwentan and then followed them all the way to the first checkpoint. It was pretty cool, but I really wanted to go further. I hope to try and find a pilot next year that is also following the iditarod to tag along with and photograph more from the remote area's and other checkpoints.

Very cool...Thanks so much for posting them for me. I love dogs sooo much and really wished I had been able to see them when they left town.
The dog in the second picture seems to look like he knew you were taking his pic.

    Thanks again..

Thanks Elf, I really wish I could have gone further. Going to have to work the logistics of it for next year.

Very nice pictures, Cory. You're website is coming along nicely, too. Good to see another Elmendorf photographer! (My wife's stationed there).

Thanks Stacy! We should get together for a shoot or two! How long have you been up here?

A year and a half so far. So much yet to learn...! I'd love to get out and shoot with you. Like I said -- so much yet to learn...!
