45 Auto +P ??
I was looking through a box of ammo I aquired some time ago and came across a box of 45 Auto +P. I am simply wondering if I can shoot these is my standard Glock 30 chambered in .45 Auto?
-Thanks for the help.
I've shot them often and have my Glock 36 stacked with them.
Your Glock manual is your best source of information on the topic.
That said- all of my various Glocks have digested plenty of +P ammo.
I called the Glock folks before I fired +P in my Glocks; they said the pistols would handle the +P but would wear faster than with tame loads. I've fired +P 45ACP out of my G30 and a G21 with no ill effects. I used Buffalo Bore with, I think, the 185 grains. It turned out kind of funny. The range safety officer (outdoor range) walked over to me to see what I was firing because it was loud. The person firing in the next lane, an inexperienced female shooter, stopped shooting because the big boom from my G21 scared her. It was a fun day and my G21 and my G30 had no problems with the +P ammo.
Call Glock. I imagine you'll get the same answer.
